Most OPERS members have a choice of retirement benefit computation factors. The 2.5% Step-Up allows members to "step-up" to 2.5% as a computation factor, rather than the traditional 2%. Not all members are eligible for the 2.5% Step-Up, and those who are should weigh many factors before making this irrevocable election..
