Anna Eldredge was recently presented with the 2016 Outstanding Employee Campaign Coordinator award. This award is presented each year by the State Charitable Campaign and the United Way of Central Oklahoma in recognition of exceptional campaign participation. Award recipients were honored at the United Way’s annual Recognition Reception in November. Anna has been with OPERS for over nine years and currently serves as a Retirement Education Coordinator.
The OPERS staff raised nearly $9,000 for the 2016 State Charitable Campaign through payroll deductions, a Crockpot Cook-Off, silent auction, and jeans day stickers. These funds help support hundreds of local, state-wide and international charities. Collectively, state employees contribute more than $500,000 annually to these nonprofit organizations.
The Oklahoma State Charitable Campaign, created in 1989, is an annual, unified fundraising effort that provides state employees with the opportunity to make donations to their favorite charitable organizations through the convenience of payroll deduction or one-time gifts. The charities must meet rigorous criteria to be eligible to be considered in the drive.
