The OPERS website does NOT provide public access to personal financial information of members or benefit recipients. However, OPERS members may access some of their account information through the OPERS member portal using a login and password assigned by OPERS. Members who participate in the SoonerSave or Pathfinder Plans may also access their account information through a separate site managed by our recordkeeper, Empower, using a special username and password assigned by Empower.

Personally Identifiable Data Collection Notice

The purpose of this notice is to comply with 74 O.S. §3106.4. OPERS collects and stores personally identifiable data as part of its duties prescribed by law and in the course of business, and only to the extent such data is needed to fulfill these duties. OPERS strives to protect the confidentiality of this personally identifiable data.

What personally identifiable data is stored by OPERS?
Personally identifiable data may include the name, birth date, member ID number, Social Security number, mailing address, email address, telephone number, and other similar information.

How is this data stored by OPERS?
To protect the personally identifiable data from unauthorized access and use, OPERS uses security measures that comply with the law. We use systems and services approved by the Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES) and stored in OMES’ approved datacenters or cloud services. OPERS’ security measures align with industry best practices and includes data encryption, use of multifactor authentication, and access-restricted buildings. How does OPERS share personally identifiable data?
OPERS does not share any personally identifiable data with any individual or organization unless permitted by law. Pursuant to 74 O.S. §932, certain member information is not considered “confidential” and will be disclosed without the member’s consent, if requested in writing for a specific purpose permitted by law. The disclosed information may include the member’s:

  • Name and age
  • Amount of retirement contributions paid
  • Benefits being paid (and verifying documents)
  • Amount of credited service (and verifying documents)

 All other member information stored in his or her retirement file shall be kept confidential unless the member has consented in writing to its release. All information in a member’s retirement file is subject to release by a valid subpoena or court order.
