The Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) was established in 1964 to provide retirement and death benefits to state employees. Over the years, OPERS has made the promise of retirement benefits a reality. Today, OPERS provides approximately $330 million annually in retirement, death and survivor benefits to more than 24,000 retired members or their beneficiaries. In addition to the administration of benefits to our retired members, OPERS also serves approximately 45,000 actively employed members.
All of us at OPERS encourage you to take the time to prepare for your retirement no matter your age. This web page, along with various printed materials, is designed to help you get information about your retirement and to plan for the future.
