What is one piece of advice you would give another member considering retirement?

LIKE what you do! I still enjoy my job. Being an Investigator for the Medical Board for 15 years has taught me that no two situations are the same and there are at least three sides to every story. Even after all these years, my job is never boring, so I plan to stay busy in retirement.

What is something you have accomplished in retirement?

I was selected last fall as Urban Mission’s Volunteer of the Year. I started volunteering for them through RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program). Now, I have been volunteering at the food panty two days a week for nine years!

What is on your retirement bucket list?

Travel, travel travel! Learning to play the violin and ukulele, follow and attend Irish and bluegrass music and all kinds of music festivals. I want to continue to help others through volunteerism, and continue to be happy, content and grateful for everything God has blessed me.
