Susan joined OPERS in April 2010 as the director of finance and chief financial officer after spending 18 years at the state treasurer’s office where she served in many capacities including comptroller.
“The wealth of financial knowledge and professionalism Susan Reed brought to OPERS has been invaluable,” says OPERS Executive Director Joe Fox.“Susan has been a wonderful colleague and dedicated public servant to the people of Oklahoma. She set the highest standards for herself, and as a leader in the agency will be greatly missed.“
Susan’s expertise and knowledge were instrumental in keeping OPERS on a solid financial footing, maintaining steadfast budgetary discipline and providing timely and accurate reports and publications to our stakeholders, including the award-winning Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports for all our plans.
The OPERS Board of Trustees adopted a resolution at the August business meeting commemorating Susan’s service.
It is with great appreciation and gratitude we acknowledge Susan’s outstanding contributions to OPERS and the state of Oklahoma. The OPERS Board and staff wish to extend our best wishes to Susan for health and happiness as she enters this new and well-deserved chapter in her life.
Thank you, Susan!
