This is our most popular seminar designed for members who are within two years of retirement eligibility. We discuss the steps involved in leaving employment and entering retirement, including your payment options, taxes, and necessary paperwork. A representative from the Employees Group Insurance Division (EGID) will also be present to discuss state insurance.
Are you ready to retire? This seminar is designed to help you think about retirement earlier and gauge how prepared you are for that next phase in your life. This seminar is most beneficial for members who are about five years away from retirement, as well as those who are in the first few years of retirement.
This seminar discusses how to use basic financial planning tools to create good money habits with the goal of becoming better prepared for retirement. This seminar is for members of all ages, but particularly helpful to those in the early to middle stages of their career. The information is great for anyone who needs help setting financial goals, paying down debt, and creating a budget.

Each fall, OPERS hosts training sessions around the state for retirement coordinators who represent OPERS participating employers. These training sessions are offered annually to update retirement coordinators with new plan information, law changes, or simply to ask questions and receive updated plan manuals.
OPERS provides general information seminars for agencies upon request. These informational seminars provide a basic overview of plan participation and benefits and can be customized to meet the needs of the audience.
