Sign-in and Account Registration

How do I create a Member Portal account?

You can register your Member Portal account online by clicking the “Register” button. Review the terms and conditions and click the ‘Next: Account Registration” button. You will need to enter your name, Social Security number, date of birth, zip code, phone number and select your current or most recent employer on file. You will also need to provide a personal email address. Your Member Portal account cannot be associated with a work address. Click the “Submit” button. You will receive an email with your username and temporary password once your account is approved.

Why won’t the account registration form accept my email address?

You must use a personal email address to register for a Member Portal account. Work addresses will not be accepted.

My account is locked. How can I get access again?

Contact OPERS to have your account unlocked.

I can't remember my password.

You can reset your password on the Member Portal home page by clicking the “Forgot Password?” link. Enter your date of birth, Social Security number and the personal email address we have on file for you. Click the “Submit” button and check your email.  An email will only be sent to you if the information you provide matches our records. If you do not receive an email after 24 hours, contact us for assistance.

What is my username?

Your username for the Member Portal is your OPERS or URSJJ Member ID. You can find your Member ID on any recent document you may have received from us like a statement, 1099-R, etc. If you already have a Member Portal account, click the “Forgot Username?” link on the Member Portal login screen. We will send your username in an email to the email address we have on file for you. An email will only be sent to you if the information you provide matches our records. If you do not receive an email after 24 hours, contact us for assistance.

How can I change my password?

You can change your password after signing into the Member Portal. Choose the Account Details menu option. If you can’t remember your password, click the “Forgot Password?” link under the sign-in form.

What can I do with my portal account?

Your OPERS Member Portal account gives you access to personal documents and statements related to your OPERS or URSJJ account. We expect to add more tools and features in the future.

What documents are available?

Limited documents are available in the Member Portal. This includes statements and tax documents typically released on an annual basis like active and vested member statements, 1099-Rs and Benefit Change Notices.

How do I download and save a document to my personal file?

Once logged into your Member Portal account, click on “My Documents”. In the documents list, click on the document you would like to save. Depending on your browser’s settings, the document will download or open in a new window.

Can I access a member's documents for whom I have power of attorney?

At this time, only OPERS and URSJJ members can register an online account. As power of attorney, you can contact OPERS by phone or in person to access information.

Who can access my Member Portal account?

OPERS will only grant a Member Portal account to the member. We will never provide access to a third party, including a spouse or caregiver. Do not share your username and password with anyone.

Can I be notified when a new document is available?

You can sign up for email or text alerts by updating your email preferences.
