The Certificate of Transparency is awarded to the Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System for its participation in the 2025 National Conference on Public Employee Retirement Systems (NCPERS) Public Retirement Systems Study. This study seeks to further open disclosure, data collection, and encourage the public’s understanding of public retirement systems.
The certificate honors OPERS’ participation in the study of 201 public retirement systems, as well as the commitment and work that engages a further atmosphere of openness between pension systems and the public.
NCPERS commended OPERS for furthering open disclosure, expanding the available data and fostering a culture of understanding and transparency.
Established in 1941, NCPERS is the largest trade association working on behalf of public sector retirement systems, industry stakeholders – including unions and plan sponsors – and the service providers that support them. NCPERS represents a diverse membership which includes 500 plans, sponsors, and stakeholders who oversee approximately $6 trillion in retirement funds.
