SoonerSave received a Grand Award by Apex for its “2019 Oklahoma SoonerSave Coordinators Guide.” This publication was one of only 100 publications honored with this recognition of out nearly 1,200 submissions.
“APEX Awards are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence. APEX Grand Awards honor the outstanding works in each main category. With more than 1,200 entries, the competition was exceptionally intense,” said Shelby Dobson, communications lead at Empower Retirement.
SoonerSave is a voluntary, defined contribution plan for state employees. The guide summarizes the provisions of the Oklahoma State Employees Deferred Compensation and Savings Incentive Plans. The guide includes sample questions and answers about SoonerSave to assist coordinators in preparing for meetings with participants.
“We are pleased to receive this award and I appreciate my staff’s work on the guide,” said Ray Pool, Director for the SoonerSave plan. “The goal of this publication is to educate coordinators about plan information to assist state employees in preparing for retirement.”
SoonersSave’s Coordinator’s Guide was also recognized by the Hermes Creative awards with a Gold Award. The Hermes Creative Awards competition is one of the oldest and largest competitions in the world. Winners range in size from individuals to Fortune 500 companies. It honors the imagination and creativity of communications pieces and awards those who bring their ideas to life through traditional and digital platforms.
