We are pleased to provide you with the most recent Comprehensive and Popular Annual Financial Reports (CAFR and PAFR) for the Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) and the Uniform Retirement System for Justices and Judges (URSJJ) for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2020.
This past year, the State of Oklahoma embarked on a new branding initiative to highlight what is unique about our great state. The inspiration of the chevron logo design integrated on these reports represents the earth, sky, water, agriculture and forest. The points come together to form a star at the center. These elements embody the sheer determination of our citizens and our state: its diverse terrain and economy.
These same qualities represent the Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System. That same determination is reflected in the information contained in these reports. OPERS continues to maintain fiscal responsibility to ensure the system fulfills its mission of helping build a secure retirement for its members. These reports underscore an investment philosophy that has remained consistent, emphasizing solid returns at an extraordinary low cost to our members. Additionally, both the CAFR and PAFR provide an opportunity to examine and demonstrate how OPERS is keeping with the highest standards of financial reporting.
In early to mid-February, OPERS and URSJJ members will receive a copy of the PAFR as a part of the Retiring Right newsletter. The PAFR is a four-page summary of the CAFR that conveys basic financial information regarding the plans’ current status.
We hope you find these reports informative.
